Belgian classical guitarist Ine Clerckx is known for her musical intuition and her love for pushing the boundaries of what is regarded as classical music. Both as a soloist and in her work with her ensembles, DRE and Elles, she construes programs based on the sound experience of the audience, combining works from different eras and across musical genres. 

 

Ine started playing the guitar at the age of 9 at the Academie Haspengouw with Tine Keppens. After graduation, she went on to attain master degrees in classical guitar performance and chamber music at LUCA School of Arts - Campus Lemmens, where she studied with Raphaëlla Smits, and to study at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland under guidance of Allan Neave and Matthew McAllister. She was also a laureate in multiple competitions, such as Belfius Classics and the Concours International Roland Dyens in Paris. 

 

Her concert career includes concerts in Belgium, France and Scotland, playing in exciting venues such as the Cathedral of the Isles (Millport, Scotland) the Musées des Beaux Arts (Brussels, Belgium), Theater Tinnenpot (Gent, Belgium), Art Base (Brussels, Belgium), Théâtre Thénardier (Montreuil, France),  St-Germain-de-Modéon (France), and many more.
